Critical  updates:

Fatigue Version 5.1.07   - 8/14//2003

The optional user specified limiting wave height on the Seastate GNTRF record was not used when creating the cyclic stress transfer functions in Fatigue.  The Fatigue program defaulted to the GNTRF wave steepness to calculate the wave height for each wave period.  The Seastate and stress results are not affected.  The fatigue damage results would be unconservative.

Post Processor Version 5.1.08 - 8/14/03

The hydrostatic check from the HYDRO record was defaulting to the wrong code when the LRFD option was selected.  The listing file does show the code that was used.

Postvue Version 5.1.09 - 8/14/2003

The unity check equation label was incorrect for LRFD code when performing a member review.  The unity check value is correct.

Joint Can Module Version 5.1.05 - 5/8/03

An error was introduced into the Joint Can program for Version 5.1 Service Pack 2.  For some pure ‘T’ connections (a chord with only one brace in the chord/brace plane) the punching shear allowables are set to the shear allowable of 0.4*Fy when the actual punching shear allowable value is smaller.  This error does not effect KT, K and X connections.  Not all of the ‘T’ connections are affected.   The error is dependent on the order of the joints in the model file.

Enhancements / Fixes:

Joint Can Version 5.1.05  5/8/03

  1. For some pure T connection with no X's or K's in the same plane the punching shear allowables are not correct.  This was a member sequence dependent problem.

Post Processor - Version 5.1.08 - 8/14/03

  1. During the automatic redesign process, a fillet radius for a new wide flange or plate girder section can go negative causing an error in the stress calculations. The error message states that a COSH value cannot be calculated.
  2. Joint reactions were not placed in the Postvue database when the SACS model contained numerical joint names.
  3. The default hoop safety factor was set to 1.0 for HYDRO2 line used as input to the Post-Processor program.  The default has been set to 2.0 to match the SACS input default value.
  4. Post doesn’t handle modified section properties properly when GRUP lines in post input file contain more than two segmented groups.
